“Chinese Perceptions on Chinese Economic Development”

Presented by Professor Xiangdong Chen of Beihang University in Beijing, China

This presentation will provide a picture of Chinese economic development, through typical measures and three kinds of economic indicators on Chinese economies, namely, the role of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in China, the unique situation of the Chinese international balance of payment, and the rising purchasing power of the RMB.

Xiangdong Chen is a Professor at Bei Hang University School of Economics & Management, China. His research is mainly on international technology transfer and technological innovation, cross-border investment and financing, and international finance.
