CEE-IP Employer Information

How It Works
The CEE-IP is a simple way for employers to access a pool of interested, bright applicants eager to gain real-world work experience. Our program is administratively simple: employers accepted to participate in the program are allowed access to a resume viewbook. After reviewing the information, employers contact the applicants directly for the next steps in the hiring process.
Student Eligibility Requirements
Undergraduate students selected to participate must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in the required engineering, math, and science courses. Graduate students must have a minimum 3.25 graduate GPA.
Internship models
The design of the internship will vary depending on employer needs and student schedules. The two main internship models for undergraduate students are as follows:
- 6-months full-time internship,
or
- 3-month, full-time summer internship, followed by part-time during the academic year
Employers might have different needs for internships models, and are welcome to discuss those models with the applicants directly. The CEE Department will work with students to create modified course plans as needed.
Employers interested in participating in the CEE-IP should contact the CEE Department at ceedept@cecs.pdx.edu or 503.725.4282.
