MESA DAY - FRIDAY, MAY 9, 2008 10:00 A.M.- 3:00 P.M. LOCATION: PSU PETER STOTT CENTER MESA (Math, Engineering, Science, Achievement) Day 2008, an event designed to attract more middle and high school students to science, technology and engineering careers, will bring over 250 diverse middle school and high school students to Portland State University. Participants will tackle science and engineering challenges such as trebuchet (catapult) building, bridge design and the infamous egg drop. ENGINEERING DISCOVERY SHOWCASE - FRIDAY, MAY 16, 2008 2:00 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.
LOCATION: ENGINEERING BUILDING The Maseeh College of Engineering
and Computer Science cordially invites you to attend the Engineering Discovery
Showcase which is a fun, hands-on, interactive event for prospective freshman
and transfer students. Meet PSU’s engineering and computer science faculty
and students, learn about the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer
Science Degree Programs, engage in interactive lab tours and learn about
innovative research opportunities, and discover student life and the many
project opportunities for hands-on design and research. General Campus
Tours begin at 2:00 P.M. and the Showcase Doors Open at 2:30, feel free to stop

MECOP/CECOP (MULTIPLE ENGINEERING COOPERATIVE PROGRAM/CIVIL ENGINEERING COOPERATIVE PROGRAM)-SELECTION INTERVIEWS-FRIDAY, MAY 16, 2008 Engineering career services offers an abundance of services and programs to ensure success for students enrolling in the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science. MECOP/CECOP is a cooperative industrial program designed to team up students with business and industry. MECOP students are often sought after by the companies which they interned during the program, and are able to be immediate contributors in the workplace. Students should apply at the end of their sophomore year after being admitted to the upper-division program.
