The Gospel According to Josh is a 30 character one-man show centered around a small town Jersey boy, as he follows his dreams to Hollywood despite the great obstacle of his life: the tempestuous relationship with his pious father. This coming of age tale chronicles Josh's religious upbringing and escape to New York, including a look into his starring roles in two reality shows, and ending with a final showdown between him and his father.
This Suicide Prevention Program is designed to be uses as an education tool to achieve several specific goals related to suicide prevention:
- To educate young adults on how to recognize the signs and symptoms of depression in themselves and others.
- To convey that depression and other mental illness are in fact real illnesses that respond to specific, yet varied treatments.
- To promote the acceptability in seeking out help for oneself or a friend if feeling depressed or having suicidal thoughts.
- To provide information about sources of local ad national professional help and how to self-refer for treatment or assist a peer in getting help.
