Carnegie Conversations- Originally created by the Carnegie Foundation, these conversations were intended to get more universities to talk about improving teaching, with the aim of promoting the scholarship of teaching and learning, and to promote teaching excellence and effectiveness. Since 1999, PSU has held one Carnegie Conversation per term to discuss salient topics on Teaching and Learning as a university community.
Focus on Faculty - This series of ninety minute long, concurrent workshops offer faculty the choice between three Teaching and Learning discussions. They feature relevant speakers and promote well-rounded dialogue in a mutually supportive learning environment.
T&L Reading Groups- Members of these informal groups discuss reading material as it relates to their classroom experience and/or to their understanding of the scholarship of teaching and learning. Don't miss this unique opportunity to participate in informal discussions with colleagues across campus.
T&L Capstone Resources- This page provides insights into how to successfully incorporate University Studies program goals, such as inquiry and ciritical thinking, into teaching strategies. A valuable resource that extends beyond the Capstone class.
