Scott Burns receives a Geological Society of America presidential award
Scott Burns, Geology faculty, won one of eight presidential awards from the 25,000-member Geological Society of America presented to him in at the national convention held in Minneapolis, Oct. 8. Burns received the Public Service Award, which is given annually to a member who reaches out to the public about geology.
