Portland State University's Single Sign-On page will soon be changing! If you've ever signed into a PSU service online, you'll likely recognize the Single Sign-On page. This page is PSU's easy method for signing into many PSU services, such as your PSU Gmail, Banweb, Desire2Learn (D2L), and more. By typing your Odin username and password once, you are signed in simultaneously to many different services. (Visit Computer Accounts for more information about using your Odin account.)

Beginning March 13th, the Single Sign-On page will be getting an upgrade. The new version of the page will look different but function in the same way, and will now be easy to use on mobile devices! Check below for a peek of what the new Single Sign-On will look like.

With the Single Sign-On page's new look on the way, it's a good time to make sure you know how to verify that you're signing into the official version. If you've ever heard of phishing attacks, you may know that criminals will often try to "spoof" a webpage by making it look almost identical to the official page, in order to trick users into submitting their usernames and passwords.
To check that you're on the official PSU Single Sign-On page, take a look at the address bar at the top of your browser window—that's the spot where the website's address is (visit Anatomy of a Web Address for more info). If it's the real deal, a green padlock should appear on the left side, next to the words "Portland State University".
If you find yourself at a page that looks like the Single Sign-On, but doesn't have that green padlock and University name, don't enter your credentials! Instead contact firstname.lastname@example.org with all the details of how you reached that page.
After the new version of the Single Sign-On page appears next week, take a moment to try it out and get familiar with the new look! If you have any trouble logging in or questions about the upgrade, check in with the Helpdesk for assistance.
