The Oregon Bankers Association (OBA) inducted John Hancock, partner, Moss Adams LLP, into the Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame during its Annual Convention held in Sun Valley, Idaho last week. Induction into the Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed peer-to-peer on members of the Oregon banking community. It recognizes the outstanding contributions inductees have made to the Oregon banking industry and the communities they serve.
Hancock graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Finance in 1971 and soon after began his banking career at First National Bank of Oregon, which later became First Interstate Bank. He went back to school at Portland State University to obtain his Masters in Accounting, while continuing to work full-time as a commercial lender.
