Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) is China’s official, standardized Chinese language proficiency test for non-native speakers. The test is administered in many nations and supervised by the State HSK Commission of the PRC Ministry of Education. The YCT is the “Youth Chinese Test” for non-native primary and secondary school students. The BCT is the Business Chinese Test which is more specialized and consists of two separate sections. The Confucius Institute at PSU is honored to be one of the few locations in the US to host the HSK, YCT and BCT.
Written tests and oral tests will be arranged at different times if they are offered on the same date (thus, times are TBA). Applicants are encouraged to register for both written and oral tests.
The deadlines for online HSK exam registration: twelve (12) days before the date of the “online test” if dropped off in person at the CIPSU office; fifteen (15) days before the date of online tests if mailed to the CIPSU office (post marked).
