Also, if you are considering buying a used bike from a private party and need a professional opinion about the bike's condition or value, we stongly recommend that you take it to one of these shops for an inspection BEFORE you purchase.

A collectively run non-profit neighborhood learning center that provides information, resources and skill-sharing programs to low-income and marginalized populations to advocate the use of environmentally sustainable, self-reliant transportation. NoPo Bike Works has ongoing hands-on evening workshops where you can learn how to fix your own bike.

Broadens access to bicycling and its benefits through its hands-on programs, volunteer projects, and neighborhood bike shop. The CCC believes the bicycle is a tool for empowerment and a vehicle for change. They offer ongoing evening and weekend hands-on volunteer opportunities where you can learn more about how your bike works.
