Rome, Florence, Macerata and the Adriatic Sea

June 18th to July 28th 2012
Spend 6 weeks in Italy, discovering the cultural wealth of both past and present. Engaging in a dialog between contemporary and historical art that will offer students an opportunity to better understand the complexity of art’s contemporary manifestations.
What students are exposed to:
- Focused and sustained time in studios
- The art and architecture while visiting Rome and Florence
- Excursions to significant sites of the Marche region
- Visits to the beach (Adriatic Sea)
- Frequent one on one critiques with your professors
- Immersion in Italian culture and tradition
- Cultivating a small body of work that is a distillation of 6 weeks in Italy
What students get:
- 12 credits - Earn 8 credits, 4 in painting, 4 in drawing at the 300, 400 or 500 levels and 4 credits of Italian language and culture.
- Including: Tuition - Excursions - Housing in student apartments - transportation and entrance fees for all excursions, Course texts and studio art materials, Medical insurance - International Student Identity Card - On-site orientation - Expert support pre-departure and on-site
