Welcome to Shattuck Hall, a beautiful 1915 red brick elementary school, which houses the School of Architecture.

In September 2008, the School of Architecture moved back into fully remodeled Shattuck Hall, a beautiful 1915 red brick elementary school. A $13 million transformation produced dynamic facilities including a multi-level open plan, naturally-lit studios, a roof-top gallery, digital lab, and an extensive materials lab encompassing model-making, woodworking, metalworking, foundry and digital fabrication.

On October 17, 2009, the Portland Chapter recognized the design and awarded the project one of two top Honor Awards plus an Award for Sustainability  Architects for the project were SRG Partnership and the contractor was Howard S. Wright.
