Stark Realities

The realities of Stark Street as it runs through the Montavilla neighborhood of east Portland were investigated in Winter 2006. Directed by Professor Clive Knights, students spent weeks immersed in the life of Stark Street, then created proposals for small-scale interventions based upon the lives of neighborhood residents. Over 200 residents crowded into a neighborhood coffeeshop to reflect on the students' work.
