Under the direction of Architecture Professor Jeffrey Schnabel and Art Professor Susan Harlan, 16 upper-division architecture and art students explored the material properties of fused glass in a 3-week focus studio supported by Portland's Bullseye Glass Company.
Students learned the fundamentals of kiln glass making and then collaboratively designed a piece based around the play Waiting for Godot. The finished work consisted of 4 independent panels housed in a free-standing structure and traveled to regional galleries.
