Full-time faculty are drawn from the academic and practice environments both nationally and internationally. They represent a deeply rooted engagement with the discipline of architecture through innovative teaching and a growing record of research investigation and publication.

All faculty maintain strong ties to the professional architectural community locally and beyond, and promote community outreach to organizations and groups fro which design thinking and creativity can bring transformation and benefit.

Because Portland State University is located in the architectural and artistic capital of Oregon, the region's architectural community is extensively involved in our programs as adjunct faculty, guest lecturers, critics and mentors.

Our Distinguished Visiting Professor program brings the most innovative contemporary architects into our studios to expand horizons and offer wisdom and inspiration to students and faculty alike.
