My name is Maria Beebe. I am a Global Educator Katipunera with expertise in engendering women’s leadership in international development, discourse analysis, and digital technologies for improving quality education. I have a Masters in Anthropology and Ph.D. Education from Stanford University. I have been successful in developing large multistakeholder programs that bring together academics, industry practitioners, and policymakers in Africa, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. I have shared my global experience through international conferences and my Fulbright specialist status. I imagine that my katipunera heritage has given me the courage to respond to challenges like work in Afghanistan and to edit leadership stories of Filipina women recognized as influential Filipina women in the world. My latest initiative is Kaisipan, launched at the time of COVID 19. Kaisipan aims to improve digital capabilities for all educators and learners in the Philippines to contribute to Sustainable development goal 4 on inclusive, equitable, and quality education.
