Profile: Meet Andre Susanto

Andre Susanto, Mechanical Engineering (2003)

Andre Susanto is a recent mechanical engineering graduate on a mission to launch his engineering career. He was a transfer student to PSU from Portland Community College.

He says, "I am very focused. I enrolled in PSU after looking at other programs because the faculty are excellent, the students are serious about their work and I knew the chances of finding a part time job in Portland were a lot better than in a small town."

Andre values the personal attention he received from the faculty and the lively atmosphere of an urban campus. When not studying and working on the PSU Mini-Baja team, he found time as an undergraduate to enjoy hiking, camping and other outdoor activities close to Portland. While a student, he participated in the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society for Automotive Engineering.
