WHAT
First Stop Portland Tour of South Waterfront
First Stop Portland, housed in PSU’s College of Urban and Public Affairs, provides logistical and planning support for visitors to Portland who want to learn about the city’s livability policies and best practices. The program connects leaders from around the globe with Portland’s brain trust from the public, private and non-profit sectors for field studies and in-depth discussions about the most pressing issues facing urban areas today.
Since 2009, First Stop Portland has hosted 2250 urban leaders (and future leaders) from around the world. Their study tours cover a range of topics, from bike infrastructure and transit-oriented development to green streets and livable neighborhoods. This study offers PSU alumni and supporters an opportunity to experience First Stop’s world class programming.
