What do I do after I am admitted to PSU

An Orientation, Advising & Registration (OAR) session, offered by New Student Orientation is your first opportunity to receive advising at Portland State University. PSU offers special orientation sessions each term designed specifically for freshmen or transfer students who will be attending PSU. This is an essential first step for PSU students. At this session you will:

• Learn about PSU's curriculum
• Learn about campus resources
• Meet with current PSU students and other new students
• Receive the PSU Bulletin (catalog), a Registration Guide, and the Student Handbook & Academic Planner
  
• Meet with academic advisers and departmental faculty
• Plan your term schedule

Advisers will be available at an Orientation, Advising & Registration session to ensure that the courses for which you register correspond to your academic, personal, and career goals.
