Major requirements

A major is a primary field of study, an in-depth academic focus. Here you will develop a significant level of knowledge in a specific academic area. You must complete the requirements for one of the majors offered by PSU in order to graduate. PSU offers over 100 majors and the number of credits required for each major will vary. Information for the specific requirements for the majors offered by PSU is located on most department websites and in the PSU Bulletin. Questions about these requirements should be directed to the faculty/advisers in that specific department.

Please note: The Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science and the School of Business Administration require formal admittance before students are allowed to enroll in upper-division coursework. The Child and Family Studies, Community Development, and Social Work majors also require admission. Other majors may require a portfolio review prior to admission into the program.
