How do I drop a class?

You may drop a class using the on-line registration system or by submitting a Special Registration form to the Office of Admissions, Registration & Records. Classes may be dropped during the first two weeks of the term without being recorded on the PSU transcript. Withdrawing from a class during the third through seventh week of the term does not require instructor's permission, but will be recorded as a "W" (indicating a "withdrawal") on the PSU transcript. After the seventh week, students may not withdraw from a class without approval from the Deadline Appeals Committee. The Academic Calendar for each term has deadlines for dropping/withdrawing from classes, as well deadlines for refunds, adding courses and changing grading option.
