Where do I go for advising?

Student Advising IASC

You may seek academic advising at the following locations at PSU.

Undergraduate Advising & Support Center (UASC) After attending New Student Orientation, you should meet with an adviser in the UASC during your first two terms. Professional advisers in the UASC will advise you on University, general education, and degree requirements (but not major-specific requirements). However, it is also important to have contact with an adviser in your major as soon as possible. UASC advisers will also advise you if you have not decided on a major, if you want to change your major, and/or if you are having academic difficulties. The UASC is located in 425 Smith Memorial Student Union. Call 503-725-4005 for drop-in hours or to schedule an appointment.

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) has professional advisers who advise you if you are majoring in liberal studies or general studies: arts and letters, social sciences and/or sciences; if you are pursuing preprofessional health requirements; and/or if you are following the preprofessional elementary education or social studies curricula. To schedule an appointment with a CLAS adviser, call 503-725-3822 or go to 491E Neuberger Hall.

School of Business Student Services has professional advisers to assist you if you are a business major. Their office is located in room 240 School of Business Administration. Call 503-725-3712 for Open Advising hours or to schedule an appointment.
