Preview Day is an all-day event for prospective freshmen and their families. Held on a select Saturday every Fall, Preview Day is our only weekend visit program. Take the day to immerse yourself in the academic curriculum, explore our diverse urban campus, and discover the many connections that Portland State fosters within the greater metropolitan community. You'll learn how to apply for admission, meet with faculty from two academic departments, and view our on-campus housing options. Learn more about Preview Day for Freshmen
Bridges is Portland State's annual open house for high school students from ethnically diverse backgrounds who are exploring college opportunities. You'll become familiar with the process of applying for admission to Portland State, and also engage in discussions about attending college and completing a degree program. Learn more about Bridges
On select days in January, February, March, and May we host Viking Visitation, half-day program for advisers, counselors, prospective freshmen and transfer students. You'll participate in a series of informational sessions and activities, and learn how to apply for admission. Learn more about Viking Visitation

Viking 101 is a half-day event that introduces middle school students to the importance of a college education through a series of activities. This event is the only visit opportunity for middle school students at this time. Learn more about Viking 101
Once you've been admitted to Portland State, your next step is to attend Orientation. You'll meet with an academic adviser, learn about general education options and degree requirements, plan your class schedule, be introduced to available student resources, and connect with students, faculty, and staff. You should receive an invitation to attend Orientation several weeks before your first term of attendance at Portland State. Learn more about Orientation
