K-8 Campus Visit Resources
While there is no longer a scheduled program for middle school students, there are many options for younger students to visit PSU. Resources are listed below for middle school teachers, administrators and parents to use to create a PSU experience on your own.
Plan Your Self-Guided Visit to Portland State
Set a date: Choosing a date to visit campus is important and you should be aware of what else is happening on campus. You can view the PSU Academic Calendar for University closures. Also, be sure to check out what’s happening on campus by looking at the Events Calendar.
Transportation: Will you be arriving by bus, car or TriMet? Be sure to make the proper arrangements and know any costs you will incur before your visit. For additional information about parking on campus please visit the Transportation & Parking Services website for details.

Other things to do on campus: PSU has many resources available to PSU students. To find out more information about a specific resource, receive information, or to schedule a visit, please see the list of Additional Resources below. Please note: not all departments will have availability to meet your request.
Campus Recreation Center: If you are interested in a tour of the Rec Center at Portland State University, please review the Rec Center Tours page to request a group tour.

Housing: If you are interested in a tour of University Housing properties at PSU, tours take place Monday through Friday at 1:30 pm and begin in the Housing office located on the second floor of the Broadway Housing Building. Millar Library: Take a tour of the PSU Library, filled with more than 1.4 million printed resources, and learn about the different research services available. To schedule a tour, contact the Circulation Desk at 503-725-5874.
Science Research and Teaching Center: Among the offices and laboratories of the Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, and Physics departments, there is the Vertebrate Biology Museum on the second floor of the SRTC open to all visitors.
The Viking Gameroom: Bowling, billiards and video games are located in the basement of Smith Memorial Student Union and available for low cost for group rates. For rates and reservations, please contact the Viking Gameroom at 503-725-4529.
