International Baccalaureate

Students who complete International Baccalaureate (IB) exams and receive creditable scores may, upon admission to Portland State, be granted credit toward a bachelor's degree as outlined in the table below.

IB exams are evaluated in much the same way as Advanced Placement (AP) exams. Credit will be awarded for higher-level exams only, not for subsidiary level exams, Theory of Knowledge, or extended essays.

Credit will be awarded only for exams with a score of 5 or higher.
